I stumbled upon this web site of fellow bow hunters and hope I can get a little help. My bow hunt bud and I want to do a true dyi bow hunt next year in Colorado. We have hunted before in the state and will be applying for point this year along with our OTC tag (we have a outfitter this year, Black Timber). We both have had some success in the past by always using an outfitter (montana). Time to fly on our own as I welcome the challenge with a bow in hand. Now the hard part. Picking the place to spend the time in. We can do the entire bow season but would like to work a single unit. Set up a base camp and hunt it hard. I noticed some postings of individuals who charge for their knowledge and experitse. Happy to do that as I believe that someone who puts the time and effort should be compesated. I only have a few years left of strong hiking (63 now) and would treasure a bull or cow down with our own skills. Besides...living in the woods for an entire season is just a dream come true. Thoughts?
