Looking to trade 338WM for 300WM for whitetail...But?

I have been considering trading my 338WM for a 300WM for deer, but i have been reading alot about some guys loading the 338WM in like 235, 255, 275 grain and getting less damage to the meat then a 270.

Does anyone have experince loading and using the 338WM on thing skinned game.

Thanks

Matt

I load my .340 Weatherby to

I load my .340 Weatherby to 3000 fps with 225 grain Barnes TTSX bullets and have no problems on thin skinned game.  This last summer I went to Africa with it and took a springbuck which is smaller than our pronghorn and hardly hurt any meat at all with a heart shot.

I also have used the same round on mule deer with no problems.
