Mule Deer GMU 38 Colorado

Hey All,

New to the forum here... Last year I hunted 38 and did not see an animal (on public land) until the last day of the season on my way out. This year I tried to play the tag game and lost, so I am back to 38 for deer/bear Archery. I hunted all over and got in deep but its not like the white tail back east!!! Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and I just picked up the bear tag for fun I am really only looking for a mule deer.

I also picked up a archery pronghorn in 88, 2nd season elk OTC, 3rd season elk 18 (I plan on hunting all of these seasons)

38 how did you do?

How did you do?  Too late now I suppose but I used to do pretty well hunting Muley bucks on small BLM parcels in the foothills east of 119.  Too many people up high nowadays due to easy access in my opinion but anything can happen if you get away from the roads or are very good at still hunting deep timber.  Thats the unit where I learned that big Muleys are smarter than most hunters  :)
